What is Ultraformer MPT?
Ultraformer is a non-invasive aesthetic procedure designed to address areas of the body with inelastic skin. This treatment involves the use of micro and macro focused ultrasound energy to contract collagen fibres and stimulate the growth of new collagen.
Who is a suitable candidate for Ultraformer MPT skin tightening?
Suitable candidates for Ultraformer MPT skin tightening include patients who are looking to address mild to moderate signs of inelastic skin on the the face, neck, or other areas of the body. This treatment aims to tighten the skin in those areas and promote elasticity.
While Ultraformer MPT can be performed on a variety of body areas, it is commonly utilised for:
- Full Face
- Cheeks and Jowls
- Peri-orbital and Peri-oral
- Forehead and Eyebrows
- Nasolabial folds (lines between the nose and corners of the mouth)
- Chin and Neck
- Body
If Ultraformer MPT is not suitable for your needs, we may discuss with you other surgical or non-surgical cosmetic options available at The Layt Clinic that may present suitable alternatives. This will only be done following a consultation with a one of the doctors at The Layt Clinic.
What does the Ultraformer MPT treatment process involve?
Ultraformer MPT treatment utilises the ultrasound energy to address the skin. Over time, our skin’s natural collagen and elastin begins to break down and looses the ability to support and strengthen the skin. This gradually results in the development of inelastic skin and wrinkles in certain areas. Ultraformer MPT is designed to target three layers of skin: the outer layer, the deeper dermis, and the layer connecting the skin to muscular structures. The device will be guided over the targeted areas of skin that will deliver ultrasound energy to precise depths in order to create a thermal reaction to help the collagen contract, and then stimulate production of additional collagen. This new collagen should continue to replenish the skin in the months following treatment, strengthening its support structure and promoting the skin’s firmness and tone.
What is the recovery period after the Ultraformer MPT procedure?
Ultraformer MPT procedures do not typically require a recovery period. Most individuals are able to resume normal daily activities immediately. Some redness, swelling, and tenderness in the treated areas of skin are common side effects after Ultraformer MPT treatment. These effects are often relatively mild and should subside over the next few days.
Is the Ultraformer III outdated?
Ultraformer III is over 7 years old, MPT is the latest version of ‘HIFU’. Though Ultraformer III is still effective, the MPT has the following advantages
- This device is the latest HIFU technology
- Treatments are more comfortable than the previous models
- The latest technology ensures greater precision, yielding more accurate results.
- Treatments are nearly 3 times faster
What can I expect from the results of Ultraformer MPT treatment?
Ultraformer MPT typically creates a skin tightening effect as the ultrasound energy produces a contraction of the collagen in the treatment area; however, this treatment is designed to yield results that continue to gradually appear in the weeks and months following the procedure. As new collagen grows and strengthens the skin’s support structure, patients should be able to see the results of Ultraformer MPT become more noticeable over time. Optimal results may be achieved with an initial series of three treatments with yearly maintenance.
