Ros Cooper – Registered Nurse Injector & Laser Aesthetician
Ros Cooper is a Senior Cosmetic Nurse with over 15 years experience working in the aesthetic industry. She began her career as an Operating Theatre Scrub Nurse & after working in theatre with Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr Craig Layt, has worked alongside him both in Theatres at Pindara & Pacific Private Hospitals & in his clinic .
Ros is experienced in Advanced Cosmetic injecting, as well as Laser, IPL, Coolsculpting, skin care & PRP treatments. Ros still maintains her skills with pre & post operative care to help guide the patient through their recovery period with as much support & empathy as possible.
Her passion for Facial Artistry & for making women & men look & feel their best has guided her desire to gain a detailed knowledge of facial aesthetics & clinical anatomy.
She believes it is vitally important to stay updated with the latest techniques & developments so she can pass on this valuable information to her clients. When assessing their needs & wants, Ros can offer each client an honest appraisal with an emphasis on staying natural & ageing gracefully, which is a common request. She believes customer service & education to demystify common myths about injectables enable her to deliver outstanding results.

Brooke Francisco Newberry – Cosmetic RN
Brooke Francisco, Registered Nurse Cosmetic Injector, is a highly achieved Educator and Trainer, recognised Nationally for her exceptional anatomy & clinical knowledge, training and experience. Highly sought after for her signature styled, “Australian Naturally Styled”, individual approach to cosmetic injectable treatments, Brooke has been highly skilled in the industry since 2004.
Brooke began her nursing career in Cardiothoriacic, ICU & Education. Her role as an Australian and New Zealand educator in cosmetic lasers developed her foundation in clinical practice as BDM, Allergan Australia. Brooke was involved in launching the Allergan fillers to the Australian market and was a participant in the Australian clinical trial. Brooke has trained many skilled injectors in Australia today and has a keen eye on the pulse of the industry standards, techniques & trends. Optimal product selection, treatment techniques & approaches keep her patients feeling, naturally, the best version of themselves. In 2019, the MD Codes have been a benefit to her clients via a multidisciplinary clinical mindset. Katrina Freeman – Enrolled Nurse
Katrina is an Enrolled Nurse, due to complete her Bachelor of Nursing at the end of 2019. Katrina assists both Dr Craig Layt and Dr Jim Trott in minor operations at The Layt Clinic performed under local antiesthetic, these include procedures such as scar revision and removal of skin cancers. Katrina is experienced in all post-operative care, including lymphatic drainage massages. Katrina has also been involved with clinical trials undertaken by Dr Layt. Katrina is available for concierge appointments to provide you with information on our surgical procedures available at The Layt Clinic and prepare you for your appointment with Dr Layt.
Samantha Golden – Laser Nurse Aesthetician
Samantha is an Enrolled Nurse and highly experienced Laser Technician. She works between our Southport and Ballina clinics providing post-operative care and non-surgical treatments. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Dermal Science and Phlebotomy which allows her to provide safe, high strength para-medical treatments. She is dedicated in providing treatments for the best in skin health and integrity. Samantha is experienced in non-surgical, medical grade cosmetic procedures including treatments for body sculpting, acne scarring, facial rejuvenation, hyperpigmentation and sun-damage. Platelet Rich Plasma Treatments and the new ResurFX laser treatments are also treatments which Samantha is able to offer her clients. As a QLD Radiation Health certified Laser and IPL operator, she is qualified to perform a wide range of light based therapies. Samantha enjoys creating a holistic treatment plan for her patients, so that she can tailor an approach that suits them perfectly and gets the results they are looking for.
Lucie Penwarn – Registered Nurse Injector & Laser Aesthetician
Lucie is a highly experienced anaesthetic nurse who has a passion for anti-ageing treatments. Lucie is a wonderfully compassionate member of the team and is highly experienced in the Cutera laser and IPL technologies for pigmentation and hair removal treatments as well as anti-ageing injections. Lucie is also experienced in CoolSculpting and dedicated to delivering results.
Zaynah Ali-Mormanis – Dermal and Laser Aesthetician
Zaynah is an experienced Dermal Aesthetician, and holds a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and an Advanced Diploma in Dermal Science. She also holds a laser license with Qld health and is trained in IPL and Genesis laser. Zaynah has extensive training in skin anatomy and physiology, skin conditions, cosmetic chemistry, and to analyse and treat skin through a variety of advanced techniques, including dermal needling, medical grade peels, microdermabrasion, lymphatic massage and much more. She is meticulous with brow sculpting using threading, waxing and/or tinting, including lash tinting and perming.
Zaynah’s holistic approach provides a wide variety of treatments to cater to the needs of her clients with result-driven outcomes.
Kate Freeman – Dermal Aesthetician and Laser Technician
Kate holds a laser license with QLD health and a Diploma of Dermal Science from the Australasian Academy of Dermal Science. She has been in the cosmetic/medical industry for 6 years, with a focus on laser treatments to improve aging of the skin, redness/broken capillaries, pigmentation/melasma, acne scarring, Photo dynamic Therapy, and hair removal. Kate is also experienced in all cosmetic treatments which include, PRP, skin needling, medi-facials/dermabrasion, HydraFacial’s. Kate is very passionate in helping clients understand the importance of good skin care and how in-clinic treatments can improve overall skin health. Her skin interests are pigmentation, acne and anti-aging. Kate will happily see you for a skin analysis and educate you further on what treatments would best suit your needs. Kate is currently studying her Nursing degree at Griffith University to expand her current knowledge and become a cosmetic nurse.
Renee Baumann, Laser & Dermal Therapy, CoolSculpting® and Ballina Team Co-Ordinator
Renee joined The Layt Clinic in 2019 bringing 15 years of experience with her, having worked in Medical Aesthetics including, IPL Photo Rejuvenation, Radio Frequency Skin Tightening, Laser Hair Removal, LED Light Therapy, Skin Pen with PRP, and Chemical Peels. For the past five years Renee has focussed in CoolSculpting, attending CoolSculpting University in the United States, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in both CoolSculpting and Medical Aesthetics to The Layt Clinic. Renee is extremely dedicated to her patients and passionate about delivering real results.
Bianca Karadimos – Beauty Therapist
Bianca joined The Layt Clinic after completing her Diploma in Beauty Therapy, and has furthered her knowledge in facials and gained certification in other treatments such as – threading, lash lifts, Venus Legacy, medical grade peels, and her knowledge of skincare products. Bianca is dedicated to creating a skin health journey that is unique for every client. She is also skilled in other beauty treatments such as, tinting, waxing, lymphatic massage and more. Bianca is happy to see you for a skin analysis and/or a colour match for makeup. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing at Griffith University.
Sheena Bridge – Administration
Sheena is our second longest serving staff member at The Layt Clinic having been with us for over 13 years as one of our wonderful Receptionists. She brings a warmth and passion to the front of house at The Layt Clinic, and you will always find her manning the front desk with a wide smile, ready to greet our patients. Sheena will greet you in our Southport Clinic and is an important member of The Layt Team.
Lori Pennie – Administration & Patient Coordinator
Lori joined the clinic in 2018 as a Receptionist, providing front of house services to our patients. When not on Reception greeting our patients with her wide smile and infectious enthusiasm, you will find Lori assisting Dr Layt and Dr Trott as a Patient Coordinator.

Ashleigh North – Surgical Services Team Leader
Ashleigh is the Team Leader of our Patient Coordinators at The Layt Clinic. Commencing two years ago as a Receptionist at our Ballina clinic, Ashleigh was promoted to Patient Coordinator, and at the beginning of 2019 Surgical Services Team Leader, working from both our Ballina and Southport clinics. Ashleigh is extremely driven, and dedicated in ensuring both she and her team are providing a superior standard of care to all of our patients at The Layt Clinic.

Sophie D’Agostin – Patient Coordinator
Sophie has been with The Layt Clinic for eleven years, commencing in 2008 as a Paramedical Aesthetician, before being promoted to her current role as Patient Coordinator three years ago. Sophie is committed to providing the highest standard of care to her patients and is always available to talk with them regarding any concerns they have either pre or post surgery with Dr Layt.

Chelsea Bridge – Administration
Chelsea started at The Layt Clinic as a Junior Clerk after finishing high school and whilst studying at Griffith University. Chelsea has developed in her role at the Layt Clinic and now works in both reception and patient accounts. Chelsea is a wonderful team member and caring member of our team for our patients.
Stephanie Kalms – Patient Coordinator
Stephanie joined the clinic in January 2019 as a Patient Coordinator. She is passionate about the health of her patients, and as a dedicated weight trainer, competing in Body Building competitions, this passion translates to all of the patients she works with at The Layt Clinic.

Courtney Jarrett – Administration
Courtney originally worked with The Layt Team as a Beauty Therapist in Ballina and then left to take a position closer to her family home. After a period of time working closer to her home, Courtney returned to The Layt Clinic in administration in Ballina. Courtney has a sensitive and nurturing nature with our patients and her knowledge of skin and beauty therapy is an asset in her role and beneficial to our Northern Rivers patients. Courtney has recently returned from maternity leave as in our Ballina Clinic 2 to 3 days a week.
Ally Frizelle – Administration
Having grown up on the Gold Coast, Ally joined The Layt Clinic a year ago after finishing school. She is currently studying a double degree in Law and Commerce at Bond University. Ally is passionate about ensuring patients’ experience with The Layt Clinic is both smooth and stress-free.
Dale Nicholls – Administration
Dale started with The Layt Clinic as a Junior Clerk at the end of her senior year at school. Dale is now studying nursing at Griffith University and is embracing learning about the Health Profession. Dale is now one of our Receptionists ready to greet our patients in our Southport Clinic.
June Jones – Practice Manager
June is our longest serving employee at The Layt Clinic, having worked as Practice Manager for 15 years. Commencing her career in the medical industry in 1989, June worked for different General Practitioners and Plastic Surgeons, before joining The Layt Clinic in 2006. June is very passionate in her service to the clinic and works around the clock to ensure The Layt Clinic is providing the best possible service and care to our patients.
Katie Brennan – Operations Manager
Katie has joined Team Layt to assist us in providing high quality patient care and a professional experience to all our patients and to provide a high level of training and support for our staff. Katie has a strong background in business management and has also worked in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive medicine a number of years ago.
Tina Layt – Business Manager
Originally trained as a Radiographer at the Mater Hospitals in Brisbane, Tina furthered her career with a post graduate degree in Medical Ultrasound. Her love for education and numbers led her to lecturing at QUT in Brisbane in Radiography and completing a Degree in Mathematics. During this time Tina also travelled with Rotary to The Solomon Islands to teach Ultrasound along with a corresponding Interplast visit.
With the relocation of her husband, Craig Layt, to Melbourne in 1998, Tina secured the role of Chief Sonographer at The Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne. This was followed in 2000 with a relocation to the Gold Coast and taking on the role of Practice Manager, and now Business Manager for The Layt Clinic.
Over the past 18 years, the Practice has grown, with 2 locations and 24 staff. During this time, Tina has been involved with numerous ASAPS meetings and enjoys sharing and learning how to build a compliant, ethical and successful business. Tina is proud to have a high level of staff retention and strong relationships with both staff and patients. Tina lives by the belief that you can never stop learning, that there is always room for improvement in everything you do in life, and to learn new skills keeps you interested in being present and alive. Tina is currently studying for her Pilots License.
