Breast Asymmetry

No two breasts are exactly the same nor symmetrical and in some cases this asymmetry can be quite significant.

In some cases of breast asymmetry, the correction may be achieved with either a reduction on the larger side or an augment on the smaller side.  In other cases, a breast lift or mastopexy may also be required.  Other patients may require breast implants in both sides but of different sizes.

During your consultation, Dr Layt will discuss with you your concerns and the ideal size or shape you are wishing to achieve. Through this discussion and clinical evaluation, Dr Layt will design a surgical plan to suit your individual circumstance and the best surgical techniques to achieve a more symmetrical appearance of your breasts.

Dr Layt uses the Vectra 3D imaging system to assist in assessing the size and volume of the asymmetry and to educate the patient on the type of surgery required and the sizes of the implants, if required, which would be suitable to create a more symmetrical appearance of the breasts.

The surgical procedure is usually performed under a general anaesthetic and usually as a Day Theatre Procedure.
