Tinting and Eyelash Extensions
Eyelash tinting is a wonderful way to achieve darker eyelashes while reducing the need for daily mascara application or false eyelashes. People with naturally light tones to their lashes and those who would simply like to save time in their makeup regimens can benefit from this quick, painless cosmetic treatment. During eyelash tinting, a semi-permanent dye will be applied to the lashes to give them a darker appearance. There are a number of shades that can be applied with eyelash tinting. The procedure itself typically takes only about 20 minutes to complete, and the results can last up to six weeks. Plus, since the effects of eyelash tinting are not permanent, you have the freedom to experiment with different shades for different occasions. Eyelash tinting can be a great way to diminish the hassles often associated with maintaining the look of your eyes and give you beautiful, darker eyelashes.
Eyebrow tinting is becoming more and more popular for women who would like to shape and colour their eyebrows for a balanced, beautiful compliment to other features of their appearance. Eyelash Extensions are individual lashes applied directly to your own natural eyelash using a medical grade semi-permanent adhesive. You will walk out with thicker, longer looking lashes that will have people commenting on how wonderful you look. You can also choose your look to suit your life style. There is the natural look for everyday wear or the glam look that will really accentuate your eyes.
If you hate wearing mascara or find your eyes have a reaction to it, then eyelash extensions are the answer you have been looking for. They also save you time by not needing to apply mascara in the morning.
Your eyelashes grow and shed naturally in a cycle that lasts 60-90 days. Each lash is at a different growth stage which means about 75% of your natural lashes are of suitable medium length. Generally infills are required every 3 weeks.
Synthetic Acrylic – Most popular for everyday wear.
Silk – Softer, more natural looking lash.
Half Set – $70
Natural Set – $90
Glamour Set – $120
Infills - half the price of original set (must be within 3weeks or full set will be charged)
Prior to your appointment
Remove all eye makeup, especially mascara and clean your lashes with an oil free makeup remover.
Do not apply any moisturisers to the eye area.
Do not curl the lashes as this may hinder the eyelash extensions application precess.
If you wear contact lenses please bring your contact case to store them in during the procedure.
Do not tint your eyelashes 48hrs prior.
After Care Instructions
Do not touch lashes for 3 hours after the procedure.
Do not wet lashes for 24 hours after the procedure.
Never get oil or moisturiser on the lashes as oil degrades the glue and the lashes will fall off quicker.
Do not rub the eyes or use a lash curler.
Avoid any petroleum based products as they deteriorate the glue.
Use an oil free make up remover and cotton tips to remove makeup.
If you must wear mascara it shouldn’t be a permanent one as this will degrade the glue.
The glue is semi-permanent and infill’s will be required after about 3 weeks also due to your own eyelashes shedding.
Do not attempt to remove the eyelash extensions by yourself otherwise you may pull your own lashes out.
Wear goggles if steam is used in a facial or sauna.
Do not wipe eyelashes with fabrics that can catch and pull on the eyelashes, use cotton tips to remove makeup.
Currently Eyelash Extensions and Threading are only available at our Southport Clinic, and will be available at our Ballina Clinic early 2012.
