Gold Coast Plastic Surgeon Helps Breast Augmentation Patients Understand Their Options

Gold Coast Plastic Surgeon Helps Breast Augmentation Patients Understand Their Options - 1
Dr Craig Layt explains how he helps patients considering breast augmentation surgery customise their surgery to meet their personal preferences.
Gold Coast, QLD — Patients considering breast augmentation have many decisions to make prior to surgery, according to Dr Craig Layt. The Gold Coast plastic surgeon explains that, before surgery, patients have a variety of options to choose from to help personalise their results. He notes that a consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon is important for that very reason. Dr Layt says, in a typical consultation, patients are able to ask questions, and express any concerns they might have about breast augmentation.

In a recent blog post, titled “>What to Expect: A Breast Augmentation Consultation With Dr Layt,” Dr Layt explains how he aims to treat each case differently, keeping in mind that each of his patients are unique. Dr Layt says he uses his time in a consultation to educate his patients about the differences, benefits, and pitfalls of each option. He says he also helps the patient determine whether or not a breast lift might be beneficial as part of the procedure. Once the patient is more knowledgeable about the procedure and what to expect, he says he uses their preferences to create a customised treatment plan.

In a follow-up blog post, titled “What You Should Know Before Breast Augmentation Surgery,” Dr Layt goes into more detail about how he helps patients better understand the differences of each type of breast implant by utilising the Vectra 3D® imaging system. He says this unique device allows patients to visualise what their results may look like, depending on their choices. He explains that by adding this technology to the consultation process, patients often better understand how their choices will impact their outcomes. Dr Layt notes that when patients are able to see how they can potentially look, they feel more confident in their selections.

Dr Layt stresses the importance of a consultation for anyone considering breast enlargement, or any other type of plastic surgery procedure. He says meeting with a plastic surgeon can help patients to have an individualised experience, gain better understanding of the procedure, and have realistic expectations of what can be accomplished. Dr Layt says all patients contemplating breast augmentation should do thorough research on the procedure, and schedule a consultation with a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon.
