View Our Latest IGTV Video Featuring the Platelet-Rich Plasma Treatment Process
Platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) is a truly innovative non-surgical treatment that utilises growth factors from a patient’s own blood to improve signs of age and other common aesthetic concerns experienced by both women and men. The treatment can also be an effective treatment for hair restoration, offering a non-surgical alternative for hair loss.
PRP therapy is quite popular here at The Layt Clinic, and our very own Samantha Golden recently hosted an Instagram video that features a step-by-step guide through the treatment process. Samantha performed the PRP treatment on one of our patients who was undergoing the procedure to rejuvenate specific areas of her face. The video begins with the application of the topical anesthetic. Then, it shows you how the PRP growth factors are quickly harvested from a small amount of blood. The PRP is then placed in a special device used to inject it at the correct depth within the skin in order to stimulate the most amount of collagen growth. The device can also help evenly spread the PRP directly where it is needed. This non-surgical procedure is often a relatively quick treatment here at our practice and does not usually require extensive recovery time.
PRP contains an abundance of growth factors that can aid the skin’s ability to repair and rejuvenate itself. For many patients, PRP therapy can ultimately help reduce signs of wrinkles, diminish dark circles under the eyes, soften the appearance of stretch marks and mild scars, and restore areas of lost hair. It can be performed on virtually any region of the body. While PRP can be an effective treatment on its own, it can often produce even better results when combined with procedures such as skin needling, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, laser skin resurfacing, cosmetic injectables, facials, or other non-surgical cosmetic enhancement options.
Please take a look at our IGTV video below to learn more about the PRP treatment process. If you would like additional information, or if you are ready to schedule a consultation to find out if this option is right for your needs, please contact The Layt Clinic today!

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient’s own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems. ✨
