President’s Welcome

It is my great pleasure as President to welcome you all to the Hilton Hotel, Sydney, NSW for ASAPS Inaugural Symposium.

This Inaugural Symposium is an innovation by ASAPS to bring together all those who perform nonsurgical procedures to enhance patient outcomes. As such, we felt it was important to be open to all plastic surgeons, cosmetic doctors, dermatologists, nurses involved in non surgical procedures and dermal therapists. We all have much to learn from each other.

We are fortunate to have so many international and local guests from the USA, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. The Symposium Committee has planned a comprehensive schedule to educate us all about the most up-to-date developments and aspects on non surgical procedures including live injections. My thanks go to Steven Liew who has committed himself to the Symposium and has developed a fantastic scientific program. I would like to thank Suzane Ali as the conference organizer.

The first day of the Symposium is reserved for an interactive, in-depth small group learning and discussion with the masters including live demonstration of injection of toxin and fillers (the upper face, the upper eyelids, temple, lower eyelid, midface, nose, lower face and neck) followed by learning the functional anatomy with fresh cadaver dissection and demonstration. This Facial Injectable Masterclass: The Anatomy, The
Aesthetic, The Technique will be a treat for the 60 doctors who were able to secure a place . My thanks to Steven Liew for a comprehensive program and Drs Steven Fagien, Arthur Swift, Dan Kenndy, Mark Magnussion, Peter Callan, Ian Holten and Steven Liew for demonstrations at the Masterclass.

As always, we are grateful to all the industry sponsors and exhibitors who will be present in numbers to display the latest products and services relevant to plastic surgery.

I am certain there will be something for everyone in the program.

I look forward to a fantastic meeting. Enjoy.
